James' Experience

James Jackson is an ICF Certified Life Coach and co-founder of Rooted in Healing. He specializes in supporting fathers and individuals as they navigate personal growth, emotional well-being, and the demands of family, work, and community life.

In his coaching work, James partners with clients to identify barriers that may be holding them back and to build practical, goal-oriented strategies that support confidence, accountability, and long-term change. His approach is grounded in empathy, active listening, and a deep respect for each person’s lived experience.

A core focus of James’ work is fatherhood wellness. He designs and facilitates fatherhood-focused groups, workshops, and community-based programs that support fathers in strengthening emotional awareness, managing stress, building healthy relationships, and showing up more intentionally for their families. His work emphasizes connection, skill-building, and creating supportive spaces for men to reflect, grow, and be in community.

James is also a certified Mental Health First Aid Instructor and is trained to support individuals experiencing emotional distress or a mental health crisis, while helping connect them to appropriate care and resources.

At the heart of James’ work is a commitment to creating spaces where people feel heard, respected, and empowered. He offers coaching sessions and invites prospective clients to connect through a complimentary discovery call to explore whether coaching or fatherhood programming is the right fit.
